Re: Emulating E:D
Hasn't phkb made quite a few oxps to that end? Ship configuration ED hud (or was that someone else?) Vinana hud (more bells and whistles) PlanetFall 2.0 The ship 'insurance' oxp (don't recall name) et. al. Installing any one of those would add at least one element recognisable to ED players I think....

Re: Source code for older versions of Oolite
What is your idea of an older version? Have you tested the vanilla game? From above: to tinker with the planet texture generator Potentially integrating it (or aspects thereof) with a more modern incarnation of oolite. And yes, with regards to 'vanilla'. More realistic/graphically impressive planet...

Source code for older versions of Oolite
Is there somewhere I can download earlier versions of Oolite with the hope of gaining access to their source files please? So that would perhaps mean a sort of 'retro request' from the likes of GitHub (I did have a look there but it only seemed to go back so far) rather than just a typical version d...

Maybe something a little more in the middle for me but it likely is going to be a matter of personal preference I think.
Anyway, nice work

Re: Galactic Hyperdrive Reimagined OXZ
When do you hope (as you suggested above) to combine the recharging with your twiddle from your Star Fuel OXP and have only the fuel of certain stars work? This could create an adventure recharging the hyperdrive in the same way that there was originally an adventure finding where to buy another! D...

Re: Introduce Yourself.
Hello fellow space travellers. Hi Dave and welcome. Speccy veteran here but yeah, the original concept and execution were something else. Beutifully flawed in places perhpas but that too was part of the charm. Check out the tinkerer's workshop thread (if you don't already know it) or even the scrip...

Re: Station sizes on the wiki vs the dat files
The Space Trader's Flight Training Manual (SBG38/B1) p. 16, col. 2, par. 3, says about the Coriolis station: "They can berth 2000 ships, and support a fair-sized colonial life development of humanoids." This seems reasonable, and will be accepted as the basis of my subsequent argument her...

Re: Hull damage
OK, I've had a quick look and although there was no check upon launching (nor should there be I think) there is a potential for error. What I can do is have it reset the relevant speed adjustment just prior to saving. That should prevent the speed penalty being applied more than once. Thanks for the...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (apparently)
Agree with the others.
My reason is that it is clearly a '2' in the first image whereas the 'II' of the others is both more stylised and less obviously numerical.
