Re: Complete newbie - question
Fuel scoops & the Advanced Space compass are worth a look in Wiki.
The compass orientates you sunwise & refueling is free & relatively fast. It's easier pilotage than targeting ships & takes you out of the 'masslock' lanes.
Good gaming

@ a-c Who wrote: "One other thing that seems strange is that the log you posted starts at 18:31 and ends at 18:34. This log does not correspond to a 90 minute long game session." My games don't last very long - this was the last of several a_c. (Must do better!) Your help much appreciated.

Re: 1.77 - Abrupt Shutdowns
@ a_c: As you see I've been playing the Trunk game on Vista. Successive games for about 90 minutes, then during auto docking - crash! The GNUstepdefaults synchronized indicator you highlighted is there too. My touch pad seems over sensitive - I'm always unintentionally dragging stuff across the scre...

Re: 1.77 - Abrupt Shutdowns
It might be the graphics card - the old Intel cards have very weak support for OpenGL, and whether they work or not at all with Oolite seems to depend on some very complex combination of the driver version, the rest of the computer, the OS, the Oolite version, and so on. Do you still get crashes if...

Re: Hello, thank you and a few questions...
G'day all, I'd like to firmly second these remarks of Redspear's: "Thank you all. Whether you're a developer or your contribution is strictly 'feedback only', I've certainly had some fun with the fruits of your work. If you've contributed even a few oxps then chances are I've downloaded one of ...

1.77 - Abrupt Shutdowns
If Oolite 1.76.1 is Stable; is 1.77 though recommended, less than stable? I'm not carping, I love it - but several times 1.77 has abruptly shut itself down, eg during auto docking. Or is it my computer, which, tho' slavishly kept up to date - couldn't always organise a celebration at a brewery. I've...

Thanks JazHaz. Downloaded from this link twice, but neither Windows nor my Avast security prog would let me open it.JazHaz wrote:Here is a link where you can get the latest trunk version.

UK 32 bit Windows Joystick
Clumsy fingers on numeric keys, and a rating to be achieved. Time to research joystick reviews. The Saitek X52 Flight Controller Joystick was the affordable 1st Choice @ £80 (reduced from £110). http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/pc-accessories/pc-gaming-accessories/game-controllers/saitek-x52-flight-con...

Re: Adder - No Fuelscoop Icon
Thanks Guys. Very interested in getting the Trunk, and impressed to see feedback in action. Tried to set access up a little while ago, but your forum link, google & Oolite Wiki have all drawn a blank -a temporary thing probably? Shall it again soon. Shan't forget what or more correctly who a_c i...

Re: Adder - No Fuelscoop Icon
I've got Fighter_Hud.oxp loaded which works fine on the Cobra, but doesn't on the Adder... I use Fighter Hud on my Cobra III too - but I've never got around to making it work on my Adder (which I only fly occasionly). The fuel scoops icon appears nicely in trunk now, a_c. Thank'ee Cody, but I don't...
