Eric,
Thanks for your help. I must learn how to debug these problems myself. Have posted solution on applicable forum. Perhaps you should edit out your instructions as regards capturing Kurtz?

Nemoricus,
It worked. Not a bad oxp, and you are right, it has potential to go further.

The mission part of this oxp has been fixed. Curtesy of Eric Walsh all it takes is to replace your shipdata.plist with http://www.box.net/shared/pe8q4znq2z and install this oxp http://www.box.net/shared/nq4tdg8pno Eric warns that the latter could introduce anamolies. Try it at your own risk. I have....

Nemoricus, I think Matt tried to do this in the AI. "ATTACK_SHIP" = { ATTACKED = (setTargetToPrimaryAggressor, "setStateTo: ATTACK_SHIP"); "ENERGY_LOW" = ("setStateTo: ABANDON_SHIP"); and "ABANDON_SHIP" = { ENTER = ("launchShipWithRole: hofd-shu...

If you're talking about the many log entries about flashers using the wrong number of tokens...maybe it's the simplest workaround to remove those flashers from shipdata.plist ;) Screet Yup simple, sounds like me, done it already but the mission still seems broken. I can destroy the ship, hyperspace...

Eric,
Think this might be my problem with Admiral hunting. Flashers broken - broken subentity definition "*FLASHER*, this will cause the entity not to exist?

There is a discussion going on Galactic NavySpec ops... This is possibly the sighting of matt364 referred to. Be warned that it contains (ROT13 mostly) information about the mission.

You should probably do something else as I read in the death_actions: <key>death_actions</key> <array> <string>set: mission_hofd KURTZ_ESCAPED</string> </array> Have you considered docking with the target carrier? Yes I've docked twice, once to meet Kurtz and afterwards to see what happened (and to...

Eric,
I only ask because Tivva and I are having problems with the Kurtz mission in Galactic ops. I think that this requires this message to be sent but no matter how slowly we kill Nellie, the ship on which he resides, allegedly, he never evacuates. I'll dig deeper.

This is Vista's security features you are witnessing. You can avoid this kind of thing by simply installing Oolite in a folder other than C:\Program Files or any system folder. Then everything will behave as stated earlier. Just thought I'd point it out for any newcomers reading. Might be useful if...

On Windows the AddOns folder is under the Oolite root install location and all OXPs are folders that can be freely copied in and out of that directory. I'm running it on Vista and some of my add-ons have turned up in appdata\local\virtualstore\oolite. It might just be the ones I've tinkered with bu...
