Re: I'm back

Thank you!!!
The really nice thing is that I've forgotten absolutely everything - it's like getting a completely new game. I haven't managed to dock manually yet. I'll get there.

I'm back

At least, it appears I'm back. After a couple (???) of years of not being able to do anything on Oolite (and other things), I seem to have set up a working Oolite installation and re-entry to the forum. Don't ask me why or how - it just happened. Anyway, glad to be back ... Hi all, again.

Re: Large OXP

Thanks all for confirming that it is possible (how have I missed that thread?). And yes - an OXP clash is a problem I hadn't considered - but I think it may be possible to construct a storyline which is transparent to any other OXP (fatal words, no doubt). OK - lots of food for thought. My initial r...

Large OXP

OK - bear with me for a while. I've only just managed to get Oolite back up and running properly since dumping Windows and going whole hog for Ubuntu (and that was a while ago). Having re-established Oolite and played it again for a week or so, I'm ... a) ... pretty pleased with the whole thing as I...

Muchas gracias indeed.

At last the stuttering screen for high-population battles has gone. Wonderful.

Can't be a place. Otherwise there'd be congestion charges, hyperspace drive clamping and double yellow lines all over the place.

But there isn't just one space.

See "Quantum Theory".

So definitely a lower-case s.

OK - thanks for the info, everyone. But it calls up another subject. If the project's waiting for 1.76, where can I find out what 1.76 will be? I've had a quick flick around the place but can't find anything obvious.

Tried to register a while ago - zilch response.

I assume, therefore, that this project really is dead in the water. Or does anyone know differently?

Quick visit

Long time since I posted - but I'm still Ooliting with the best.

So, a quick message to all - Have a bloody good Christmas and New Year, but don't let the festivities get in the way of OXP development.

Cheers ... Mike

Someone's going to have to explain that to me to prevent my old brain going into complete shutdown. How does reducing the vertex count result in MORE faces?

A couple of points (with no preferences implied) ... Climate change may or may not be our fault. The jury is still out, although it does become increasingly obvious that if it is us, we're going to leave it too late to do anything about it. One thing is for sure - we certainly ain't helping the situ...
