Hyperdrive to a new world/galaxy help

When I get ready to leave the "LAVE" galaxy and explore a new one, what equipment do I need and what are the <KEY> commands to do it?
Thanks

I am using a Microsoft Sidewinder Pro 2 joystick with Oolite running under Ububtu 8.04 and up until today it worked great. I installed Oolite version 1.72.2 today and in the process of trying to fix a "YAW" problem I have messed up my joystick settings. It does exactly like the author's pr...

Joystick Problem

I installed Oolite 1.72.2.x86.v2 again, to try and resolve the yaw problem that I have with it. In the process of trouble shooting, I have messed up my joystick settings. I am runing Olite under Ubuntu 8.04. I have uninstalled 1.72 and went back to the stable version 1.65. I have "Jscalibrator&...

Getafix, I will keep an eye out for the next release. The current version works ok, until I turn on the "Roll/Pitch Precision Toggle". I wish that there was an option to turn off (disable) the "YAW" axis.
Thanks for your help.

I read a lot of posts and found one that talked about spinning. The author said that his was caused by assigning a button, on the controller, to control the Roll/Pitch Precision Toggle. I installed version 1.72.2 again and tried a combat mission without toggling on the Roll/Pitch Precision Toggle. T...

another_commander, I don't have a problem with reproducing the problem, it happens anytime I get into combat, with version 1.72.2. I am hoping someone else may have had the same problem and managed to fix it. I have looked at installing GNUstep in Ubuntu, but it is way above my level. I don't want t...

Screet, I had to put version 1.65 back on my computer. I was attacked by a single vessel and I know I never got close enough to hit him or anything else and still the world started spinning. The only way to stop it is to exit the game. With version 1.72.2 installed, I get a terminal window (I am run...

Winston, I have another problem and don't know if it is related to GNUstep or not. When I am flying, under normal conditions, everything is great, however when I get engaged in combat, the whole world starts spinning. The only way I can stop the spinning is to exit the game. I have reinstalled versi...

Error messages in Terminal?

I just installed Ver 1.72.2 and when I start Oolite I get the following data in a Terminal window. I am running Ububtu 8.04 as my operating system. Does anyone know what all of this means. Other than getting this message, the game seems to work OK. Configuration contains unknown keys - (GNUSTEP_LOCA...

Thanks Screet, I will put ver 1.72.2 back on the computer and give it another try. I am OK with the "Status" changes and don't pay them much attention now. My joystick was correctly Identified, by the game, and it seemed to work fine until I got in the dogfight. I will give it another test...

Screet, I installed 1.72.2 and all seemed OK, until I got into a fight and then the whole world started spinning (horizontally) and I could not stop it. I had to remove it and go back to version 1.65, so I could continue the game. I am running Oolite with a Linux (Ubuntu 8.04) operating system. Dise...

Thanks for the info!
MKG, I suspected that might be the case because sometimes after the distress call, all of the ships kept flying together and they did not seem to make any attempts to escape.

CptnEcho, I will try and save someone's day and see what happens.

Under Attack Pleas for Help Question

On numerous flights, I have encountered ships that radio a S.O.S, asking for help. I want to try and help them, but I am not sure about a couple of things. All of the ships involved, are colored "yellow" (friendly) and if i jump into the battle and destroy some of them, will I become an &q...

Frame, thanks for the info! I think I understand it now and I will try the tip about rolling after launching. I have looked at the link several times and several more, but I did not find an explanation of the "Lollipop". I found it once and it might have been while I was looking through so...
