Why not use the in-built ones? I am not complaining about the available selection of ship models, just mentioning that it doesn't include a BoaClassCruiser. I have noticed that when I choose some of the more interesting laser colours, such as clear or black they seem to come out grey anyway.

Purple beam looks nice.

Cyan fizzes up the target well.

Have now installed 1.23 & tried out several large ships at some moons/planets with no planet splat events

If you install FreeTradeZone oxp (and probably FuelTank, too) then you can trade at multigov. systems without docking at the station, for a while.

But it will be necessary to dock at some point (to save) though.

This is a very nice game.
