Re: Tionisla Historical Society (ED)

Hiya.
I tried contacting via Inara, but no response, so I guessed it wasn't him.
Selezen, are you out there?

Tionisla Historical Society (ED)

Greetings Ooliters. Yo yo yo, THS is now in Tionisla! I'm pretty sure at least one other person was working it too. Anyone on here? I'd quite like to wing up, to get THS installed into the station(s) owned by Tionisla Corporation (background - THS is an ED player minor faction, created by someone(s)...

Well done, you got 3 letters right, and 2 of them were even in the right place!

Thanks for the squadron info. I'll be in touch.
Shame THS is not IN Tionisla, but at least they dropped you in not-too-far away.

What's the Togy?

Re: What are the 'old' commanders doing nowadays ?

Greetings Cmdrs. Personally ED4 is everything I ever wished for, and more. When I think back to all my annoying Oolite questions, like "why can't we drift around corners' & stuff, well, flight assist off nailed that for me :) . I'm kind of sad that the 'friendliest bunch of people this side...

Re: Using a controller

A consequence of the XBox controller design is that stick deflection can only be a maximum of 1 unit away from neutral, whereas for the Logitech (which appears to have a square 'template'), the diagonal deflections can be greater than '1'. Anyone else noticed this? Yup. It's quite hard getting the ...

Re: A question for Elite 1984 experts

iirc, there was a way to the forbidden zone.
It involved jumping from one system that was 7.2LY away, to another, and forcing a miss-jump.
Then from the midpoint, you could jump across the void.
or was this an Oolite thing?

Thanks.
I never had a manual with my spectrum.
I had to work it all out.

Re: Elite: Dangerous - and Thargoids?

Even made national news! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-38530935 It's interesting I think that they're pulling people out mid hyperspace jump. Thargoids living 'inbetween' maybe? sounds very Oolite! It got me wondering where Oolite got the idea of putting Thargoids inbetween systems? Was it fr...

Re: Elite: Dangerous - and ship naming

Just seems a bit picky complaining about it. It's hardly a game changer, apart from some usefulness working out which ship is where on the map, when you leave a trail of "one-careful-owner" s behind you. Anyway, I'm sure they'll get around to it. It can't be much more than just an extensio...

Re: Elite: Dangerous - and ship naming

Wow, lots of unhappy people! I feel the urge to stick my hand up & say how great I think ED4 is. I 'get' all the comments, but I've found it all utterly immersive, and great fun, despite getting seriously splatted last night, with hundreds of tonnes of high value cargo, and some very VIP passeng...

Re: Music Thread!

It's a bit shit, but i'm into live & loopy hardware trancy stuff, & one of my first recordings (ahem  ) "borrowed" some of the sounds from Oolite, that you might find amusing.

Re: Elite: Dangerous - and 'Black Magic'

- took me almost an hour to download it (6.45GB). An hour! :? It took me two whole nights of leaving the computer on, chugging away. Ahh, life in Wales, on the end of a wifi extender :D But wow, how the memories came flooding back. Memories of FE2, floating cities, and the like. As I approached, th...

Re: Ship tuning

Perfect, thankyou. I can't notice any difference with the ctrl fine tune button. Does it set to a specific value, or a percentage of the normal value? Maybe it's just that my chosen values are similar to the fine tune value. Either way, doesn't matter. my big, heavy, but fast-in-a-straight-line ship...
