I think this should be in as well. I often find myself in a busy system surrounded by traders and police so I put Oolite into a small window and do other stuff (keeping a reasonable eye on the scanner though!) Would be nice to just autopilot until you get there or something requires your attention. ...

using the console I added 200 ships in my vicinity and the machine kept chugging along nicely at ~35fps. But several large asteroids and I'm down to 4fps. Could that be caused by the smooth definition of the asteroids. I can imagine it will require a lot more calculations to rotate such a structure...

Hi guys,

Just found a tiny cosmetic bug - when launching from another station in the system you get the "We hope you enjoyed XXX station" message. In this case it was a hOopy Casino.

Ah, yes, that reminds me - I tried to upload an avatar image (png) and the forum software comes up with a PHP error. Lemme try again.. Fair enough - looking forward to seeing the new features then :) Although I'll probably need a new graphics card - the existing station already makes it choke :( In general it seems that if there's a half-dozen or so largish textures around, it dies. Objects are no object - using the console I added...

AFAIK the witchspace-lock is an Oolite feature; certainly never saw it in any ports/remakes of Elite. However, it sortof makes sense from a consistent universe point of view - you Witchspace in at a fair distance from the planet/station - so why not be forced to Witchspace back out once you're a saf...

Cool, I'll give this a try tonight. The main change to support Docking Clearance in 1.72 would be to tell the player to request DC when they reach the Buoy (and wait for it to be granted if there is existing traffic) prior to starting their docking run. Also, should this script run in every system, ...

Question to all users of this OXP. Does the music on launch work? By me it's fine and I haven't got other complaints but Lestradae says he has a problem with the music not playing on launch at all. I'm on 171.1. but also tested it on 171.2 After initially putting the music packs into the wrong fold...

There aren't any docking fees - only a penalty if you don't request clearance.

The queuing mechanism is now part of the dev-trunk for anybody who wants to give it a try. Remember to set the flags in planetinfo.plist and/or shipdata.plist as the default is NO.

When I tried to remove just the drive-letter part it didn't work for me (it was still trying to access stuff from the C: drive). The %~dp0 expands to <drive>:<path> of where your batch file is - a little digging through the Windows Help Center found this little trick :) And yes, that's what ends up ...

It'd be nice if there were cargo-contracts for smaller ships too - not everyone wants to fly an Anaconda! Who told you there aren't? You just have to find them. I built up my cargo hauling reputation in an ordinary Cobby III with 35t cargo capacity. Hmm, ok, will have to keep a sharper eye out then...

Hmm, possibly a way to fix this would be to introduce the concept of waypoints. Currently that's implemented by a list of destinations, but ships seems to slow/stop at each destination and calculate their way before heading off to the next one. Whereas with waypoints it could be coded that ships nev...

Ships never aim for the destination itself, only for a point within a radius of desired range around the destination. All this is of cause to prevent that all ships go for the exact same endpoint. Is that why there are so many stages to the docking AI and why (some) ships do a lot of pirouetting ab...
