I must admit there I disagree, at least from a realism viewpoint if not a gameplay one. The next small logical step from having something detected is to automatically do something about it. And if it's something like destroying incoming missiles, then it would be a no-brainer to do it. Where do you...

Either someone will pick it up from here or you can make it a feature request here and that way it'll be tracked:Simon B wrote:Note: this script goes in the source.

Re: modernized targetting system
In the game Elite, Commanders could set their pitch & roll keys to remain "on" and adjust the rate of pitch or roll to match a stations' roll rate during docking manuvers. What happened to this feature when the game was ported to Oolite? Giles did the right thing and did not port this...

The latest (in source form) can always be had directly from the repository:pagroove wrote:Question though. 1.72 isn't downloadable atm or am I wrong?

If you can't build it yourself perhaps someone can build you a binary for your platform.

In a station you can use your ship to sleep in. It does have full living quarters, after all. It would be a bit like taking a caravan to a campsite then sleeping in a hotel... I disagree with that...after sleeping in a caravan for most of your time, wouldn't you like to exchange it for a hotel room...

To be honest, I can't recall ever getting 'stuck' in Witchspace in original Elite - sure, I got sucked in by a bunch of Thargoids once in a while, but if I managed to survive I always had enough fuel for a jump back out - even if I had to backtrack to my starting system. Now, either I always got ver...

Hmm. All reasonable points. Personally I prefer to have certain things like spacestations deterministic but I can see that it's not always desirable. And of course different people have different expectations of the game. To save everything though requires the save engine to query every OXP for its ...

Now all the save-file needs to store is -which- dockable a player saved at, the rest gets regenerated based on the system seed. regarding that all dockable objects spawn initialised from a known seed... They dont... i have tested this plenty of times to know, that they do not... [/quote] I know the...
