Have you built the Spidermonkey dependency? Also, which version of Oolite are you building?

My main gaming machine is an AMD64 3000+ running Ubuntu (until recently 32-bit HardyHeron, currently in a flux as I'm trying to decide between 32 and 64-bit IntrepidIbex). Oh, it also dual-boots into Win98/WinXP for the X-BtF series. 1GiB RAM, SB Audigy2, and a Radeon 9600 pad out the relevant specs...

I fail to see why any (faster) ship cannot match the speed of another (slower) one - as a player I can do so quite easily.

Perhaps a 'match speed' JS method is needed? It seems odd that escorts cannot fly formation with any slower-than-them mother ship.

Sorry, I was running under the impression you wanted to replace the current Makefiles, not offer an alternative. As it's a multi-platform project it would be nice to maintain similar build experiences for all (with the exception of Mac which seems to be 'special' *g*) I'm currently looking at re-wor...

Just remember that a default checkout of the trunk has to build under Windows as well.. so any replacement of the current build system needs to take building under Windows into account.

cp: omitting directory `obj/' make: *** [after-all] Error 1 $ ls oolite.app Resources the last copy is failing - ommitting the directory. what is this supposed to be doing? For some reason your GNUmakefile.postamble file appears to have spurios spaces in it. The copy commands should be: cp obj/ooli...
