Re: Changing folder locations...

You can create 'symlink's to wherever you want the files stored.
oolite-saves you can certainly change (just navigate to where you want from within Oolite), but AddOns is hard-coded to search a set of predetermined paths.

Re: Not able to launch Oolite from the Oolite Icon

:) Sorry if I was unclear - I didn't mean for you to keep a manual log (although that could be useful if you do come across another crash)... I meant, is it possible for you to re-create the crashing situation you had with those empty or corrupted OXP folders? If so, we'd be very interested in those...

Re: Not able to launch Oolite from the Oolite Icon

Hey Solar Patriot, Glad you may be onto something which gets Oolite running for you. But, if it really does turn out to be a corrupted or bad OXP folder set, could you please keep a record of what causes things to crash? That way we can look at the underlying cause and hopefully fix it. Thanks, Micha.

Standard somewhat-kitted-out Cobra MkIII detuned to 0.3LM for me.

Re: New Beta - 1.75.1 - Linux Mint 10 - 1366x768 res

Just FYI, on my laptop I have Oolite running full-screen (1366x768) just fine. Ubuntu Lucid with Compiz. Graphics chip is on-board Intel 945GM.

Re: Not able to launch Oolite from the Oolite Icon

Hi Solar Patriot, Most of those messages are benign. The important one is this one: drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info. First of all - did you look at dmesg to see if there was some more information? Secondly, are you running the lates...

Re: Looking ahead

, lense flares, Why is everybody(*) so damn keen on lens flares? I just don't get it. In (animated) movies, computer games, comic books, general artwork? It's an evil inherent in physical cameras (internal reflections amongst the optical elements). But why emulate it?? Human(**) eyeballs don't have...

Re: Video of Saturn fly-by

Very nice, but that video technology takes an inordinate amount of CPU, so unfortunately I only saw it at a frame or two per seconds. Why the bleep do modern web-embedded videos take so much CPU? Ok, so even my 'new' laptop isn't the most modern anymore, but my ancient laptop used to be able to play...

There, fixed it for you.
If you'd actually followed the link you'd've seen it was the updated ZIP on the download server. :)

Re: Hello!...First post...Wow!...Thankyou and Questions!...

However, I don't see that there is much difference in comparison in a fight situation, between fleeing through a wormhole, Galactic hyperspacing, deploying an escaped pod or autodocking when within range of a station. It's a sort of "beam me up Scottie get me out of here NOW!". All of tho...

Good point, this shall be remedied (unless there are claims to the contrary?).

Re: NPC bounty calculation faulty

TBH, I'm not entirely sure why a misjump shouldn't reduce your bounty. Because it makes it too easy to become clean by a series of misjumps. This would allow you to become clean before arriving in the very next (close-by) system, which defeats the idea of your legal status staying with you for a wh...
