Witchspace malfunction on long jump -- game over?

Judt got hit with a witchspace malfunction, the ONE time I did not have a spare gas can handy (I *always* keep one handy....no more long jumps without one or two!). I suppose that means game over, since there are no fuel sources in deep space....?

Is it possible to get back on to the board without leaving the bar? I like to check system locations before accepting a contract, and I'd like to do it in the game if at all possible. Maybe the contract screen could include the (distance, min # of jumps) info on the offer screen?

FYI: the short range scanner performance is drastically improved with the flight performance witchdrive AI fix. Before the fix was applied I was getting 12fps in the F6 screen. After the fix is applied I get between 30 and 60 fps. With RandomHits installed I get betwenn 20 and 30fps. Waaaaaay better...

Well, I fixed this problem, not sure how it got in there, but the problem was in the y coordinates of the crosshairs, I change it to 0 and the reticle/crosshairs went back to the right place.
