The Collector mission.
Hi All, So I'm confused. I'm old so it happens frequently  So i started playing Oolite again after years away and took a couple of days sorting out OXPs etc and getting it to run to my liking. So I start a game and get the Collector dialog when I land on Zaonce. So I save up 1000 to buy the poo...

When you load up for the first time say N to Load New Commander (you ain't got any yet. ). Then Press F2 to bring up the options menu. Use the Curser keys to highlight Save Commander. Then press ENTER to select it. Where it says "Commander name : Jameson" either press ENTER to save...

Re: How do you scoop fuel?
How much equipment have you got? Do you have external heat shielding? What about injectors and the advanced space compass? Just scoops and the injectors. To be honest now I have the Naval fuel mod installed and the fuel usage on the injectors is a lot better I don't bother trying to scoop. A pity i...

Re: How do you scoop fuel?
Hi All, I know this thread is really old but I've started to play Oolite again and I'm on the current build. I'm trying to scoop fuel but it doesn't work. The scoops just never work. So I JD into the star but the new Graphics once you're in the corona doesn't let you know if you are flying into or a...

Re: Help for a Noob trying to get started
Hi All, Thanks for the advice. The shipyard file managed to sort out the whole add or subtract a missile pylon thing. I always flush the cache on a change I have a load of OXP's rtunning and they always tell me to do that :) I still can't get a fuel scoop onto an ASP though. Even if i go into teh sh...

Help for a Noob trying to get started
Hi All, Whilst getting bored waiting for Elite Dangerous to deliver on my backing,,, Alpha 2 hopefully next week!!! I was advised by a friend to try Oolite as it was fun and a modern version of the original elite and "easily tinkered with" as its text based. Great thinks I. So I've tried i...

Re: Thrustmaster Warthog and RCS pedals.
Hi All, Yes it's sexy, and I have been saving up for a while to get one. Had to extend my desk shelf to fit it on and screw it down as it is larger than the cougar. I got it for flight sims, I use DCS blackshark and A-10C a lot as well as Falcon4 with add on theaters alot and you need a decent HOTAS...

Re: Thrustmaster Warthog and RCS pedals.
Hi all. Fixed it. you have to run a T.A.R.G.E.T script with both the warthog Throttle and Stick selected but not the cougar. once the gane starts the script detect the Oolite executable and then the warthog is detected as the secomnd stick as the combines stick and throttle. Problem solved. This all...

Re: Thrustmaster Warthog and RCS pedals.
You can at least use an application to convert this third controller's buttons into keyboard presses. You won't get the axis out of it, but at least you'll have the buttons at your fingertips. For Windows, such a free little application is JoyToKey. I think JoyToKey can do mouse emulation, so you m...

Thrustmaster Warthog and RCS pedals.
Hi all, This is my first post after I have discovered OOLite in a link from the investor’s board for Elite Dangerous. I have a question about joystick detection and setting up. I’m using a thrustmaster Warthog Hotas system and a set of RCS pedals. Now the stick and throttle are on separate usb conne...
