google says.... 5
Google says... wrong. There are five books, but the answer is a little more involved.

There may be a popular online encyclopaedia which will give a definitive answer in return for a little study.

OK, another simple one - If Tej marries Ivan, who married Ekaterin?
TFW you can Google and find out everything you need to know about the subject other than the actual answer to the question.

Re: Oolite Tactics

Another annoying Assassin tactic I've just encountered - loiter near the station, issue a docking request and renew it repeatedly while making no effort to dock. You can't get in and may eventually leave the aegis intending to sun-skim, and then they come after you.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

Ah well, it's been a week and more, and there's been next to no nibbles at the bait, so probably time to put this one out of its misery. The game was Might & Magic VII , in which the protagonists do indeed spend most of their time chasing after goblins, ghouls, griffins and the like, before the ...

Re: Happy ***

Happy holiday wishes to all of you, wherever you are. My fondest memory of this time of year is when school let out at mid-day before Christmas break. There lived at that time (60 years ago) a tall, white-bearded gentleman who rode down main street in a horse-drawn buggy. He played Santa Claus for ...

Re: Happy ***

Thank you! (On whatever planet in sector 3 Macrae and the gang are currently holed up in, they'll be celebrating quietly. As inheritors of Scottish traditions, they surely know the real knees-up is six days away. :D ) Surrounded by presents here and with a giant protein overload to come in a few hou...

Re: Star Wars and sequenced movies

I was never wild about The Belgariad (borrowed the series off a girlfriend thirty years ago IIRC), but I could bore for Earth versus Mars about Tolkien. Steven Donaldson is a tough read with many imaginative ideas but a thoroughly depressing protagonist and a vocabulary that does come across as dict...

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

Hint: The entire series was fond of giving you a sword-and-sorcery set-up only to turn science-fictiony at the end of the adventure.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

No, it's computer-based. As with a number of such games there are non-interactive cut-scenes at various places during the action and the meeting with the android was one of these. More hints later if necessary.

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

While we're on a science-fiction RPG theme, then, here's one... After defeating many opponents ranging from goblins to dragons and all points between, the "good" ending sees the protagonists encounter an android who looks surprisingly like Data, though not connected with him in any way, an...

Christmas reading

The Muse paid another visit and this has resulted in another Claymores book just in time for you to download and read over Christmas. The paperback won't be long in coming, either.

A character from another of my stories puts in a cameo appearance too.
