I think I tried testing late one night before bed, but I died before completing the contract, so couldn't tell if it worked, and had no more time to try another run. Haven't started Oolite since then -- several months ago, alas.

Although I made what I believe are fixes for that save-then-load bug about nine months ago or so... I still have not tested it as I stopped playing Oolite long before then! Go for it, Norby! I haven't played Oolite for about a year, so who knows if I'd ever do it. I even "fixed" the minor bug in the Escort OXP that crops up if you save after accepting a contract, quit, then re-load... but I never tested to ensure that the fix does in fact work. No reason why ...

I think I have fixed the NaN problem actually. I just haven't tested it. Yeah, that "Contracts available: 0" thing is mysterious. It shouldn't happen, as there's code to repress the menu entry when the value is zero, and that code usually works. Sometimes, though, it just doesn't, for what...

Ultimately what I did was swap the parts of the Aphid around so that the "wings" are the subentity, then replaced the random paint stripe on those "wings" with a shiny gold stripe. So the "wings" always have a shiny gold stripe, while the main "ball" ship body...

mmm, more things to fix. I'm thinking also of removing the weapon glow effects (which you pretty much never see anyway) and adding some flashing nav lights instead.

My haulers will have to be re-done for 1.80. They previously depended on Griff Resources. So, currently they don't actually work. You may get an unpainted hauler, but no escorts (and thus no constore defenders at all since the hauler OXP used overrides for all the store defenders if I remember right...

I'm getting all the new 1.80 Griff ships too, but there's something I'm concerned about. The shipset suppressor suppresses "oolite_template_cobra3-alternate" but the Griff_Cobra_Mk3_v1.04.2 doesn't have any ship that even like_ships that alternate (which has a 95% chance of an ECM unit). I...

Yes, I make my normal maps in Photoshop... a really old version of Photoshop (7.0). The plugin was made by nVidia as I recall.

Even spiffier now that spara's got me workin' on 'em... stay tuned. One problem I'm having with the Aphid, though. The random colouring I've introduced for the ball portion doesn't "stick"... I'm guessing maybe because the ball is a subentity...? The random colouring stripe I've put on the...
