Escort bug?

I just encountered a group of 3 offenders which started to attack me, I targeted the lead fellow and proceeded to knock his energy down to nearly nothing. He then decided to eject (a wise decision), I then picked up his escape pod and then turned to take on the other two. before I started to open fi...

Could you point out exactly where in the wiki you found the deeper explanation? Thanks Of course! http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Oolite_Keyboard_Controls#Changing_Key_Assignments In case your browser doesn't support the jump to wotsit.. scroll to the section titled 'Changing Key Assignments' pers...

Re: Shame about the contracts

I'm pretty sure you'll only get offered poor contracts to start with.
The more you complete successfully, the better your reputation and then you'll start to see more lucrative contracts being offered to you.

Yay! I've updated Oolite and everything is working fine for me. The precision toggle is VERY useful, I can see why s8404755 & caracal are trying to get it sorted.. good luck! Just in case it happens to narrow down the causes for problem shooting... OS: Windows 2000 SP4 Oolite: V. 1.71.2 Stick: S...

Keyboard yaw has been in for a while... it's on the , and . keys on a UK windows machine. To where did you change them? that's weird, they weren't on mine for sure.(I'm also using a UK keyboard) I saw a thread that mentioned yaw controls on , & . but it didn't work. I opened keyconfig and the c...

:(
Are you sure?
I didn't have the yaw controls for the keyboard by default either, but I managed to edit the keyconfig file to add them in.

will I need to backup my saves/oxp's before installing a newer version?

twist/turn/rotate whatever you are using for a yaw controller on your stick
Sorted!
If only it was that easy! There's no Yaw option.

Edit: I should have stated that I'm using version 1.65.

Yeah! My three axis stick just arrived!

but.... where / how do I assign an axis to yaw?

I remember that I had to add the yaw option into the controls to get it to work on the keyboard, but I have no idea how I would get it to to use a joystick axis.
..help!

Re: turrets

Thank you very much for the code.. I'll give it a whirl! Don't the turrets turn and fire in all directions? If so, is there a way to force them to only be able to fire straight forwards? ... on a side note, the "ship very small" issue, is it intentional (did you want your ship to be so sma...

NPC ships don't have shields Ooh! I didn't know that! I think I'll have to forbid the use of naval shields for my craft, even though they are military craft. Thing is, they're so small that the other craft have trouble hitting them! For player ships, you`re right with max energy (that determines th...

Shipdata.plist questions (and some more Starfox ships)

Well now that I've made my first model in Wings3D and got some very basic textures on it, I'm turning my attention to configuring the thing. So far I've sorted out the positions of things like the engine trails, laser firing position and cargo dumping position. However there are still a few question...

If you've got injectors, a good tip is to use them while refilling. It sounds a bit daft to be using your fuel while trying to fill it up, I know. However, as it vastly increases your speed it also vastly increases the rate that your tank fills up. With the injectors on, it'll only take a couple of ...

Yes looking nice! Now some nice textures 8) After all the headaches I've had with textures, I think I'm going to step away from that right now. I enjoy the modelling part a lot more than the texturing side I think. I'm going to start work on a couple of other craft from the Starfox universe. Probab...

Yeah, I did those by taking a N-Gon and deleting one of the vertices to get a square/rectangle shape. I had no idea that it would cause any problems. As I'm totally out of ideas, it's worth a shot! EDIT: OMG! I see 'TEXTURES' in my .dat file!! second EDIT: SUCCESS! F**K YES!! :D At last! You have no...
