Re: Oolite Darwin Awards

Hey, this is a great thread. :) Couldnt sleep the other night so read these stories instead, thought I'd add my tale of woe. I'd taken on my first Galactic Navy mission from the OXP of the same name, and after several attempts, eventually destroyed the pirate base and eliminated all the pirates, wit...

Re: Introduce Yourself.

Re: Contracts and Reputation

Thanks for the info folks.

Eric, thats a great idea!

Knowing my luck, the trumbles would just eat the 40-odd Tons of luxuries I'm carrying for my cargo contract!

Contracts and Reputation

So, I have got myself a Python, Fortune of Pleiades, and have started the interstellar 'arm' of Eddie Stobart. I thought I would also dabble in the luxury liner business so fitted out a couple of lovely cabins, complete with all the latest cryo-sleep stasis technology for those particularly long tri...

Problem with Oolite version 1.77

Hi, I've just upgraded from version 1.76.1 to 1.77 (Windows 7). Everything is fine until I launch from the station, where my 'view' is my HUD and a 'blank' screen, which seems to cycle through various colours. I can't see the planet, and dont appear to be able to manouvre my ship. I've tried removin...

Re: Is it time to 'fix' the Anaconda?

Perhaps Missions and contracts could be made available for the Anaconda if it lands on a planet (using planetfall OXP?) This means it could be made bigger, keep its existing capacity and it gets round the docking issue. Missions could be made available for the combine harvesters etc mentioned earlie...

Hello fellow commanders

Hi Thought I'd come on and say hello as you seem a freindly bunch here. I've just discovered Oolite, can't believe I haven't before! I used to play the original Elite for hours on the BBC B when I was alot younger :) I've also had a play around with the Amiga versions, when I had an Amiga, and more ...
