Are you, however, aware of the external views you can access with hitting "V" while in flight? .... I know, it's not the same as you are suggesting here, but it's a step into that direction, and certainly better than nothing. I know; too bad by SuperCobra hasn't got an external view model...

Why, then, do you even have slaves aboard in the first place? :? I was pondering an idea on the way home the other night. Maybe Democracy systems could have some sort of Liberation Stations. You could dock there and offload your slaves, either for free or for very high prices (the Liberation Station...

Why doesn't anyone else carry passengers? The question seems to indicate that you never actually did the calculation. Carrying passengers is simply not worthwhile economically. I may be loosing money carrying passengers, but I make it up in other ways (salvaging the wrecks of those who try to harm ...

Mouse Perspective Free Look

Okay, maybe it's a tall order, but.... How about an option that gives you a floating viewpoint which follows your mouse? So, you could hold down SHIFT+V and the view would pan around wherever you move your mouse pointer. Then I could actually look "up" at something "above" my shi...

A pirate carrier should look like an enourmous jolly roger, a grinning skull spitting pirate ships from a docking bay in its mouth, twin plasma turrets in its glowing eyes, and a pair of thrusters behind each of the four knobby ends of the crossed bones. Of course, you'd have to make it say "Ru...

Yay, another suggestion I requested made it into the trunk! Gosh, I've been away too long (or, for you readers, perhaps not long enough).

I've got your answer right here on the tip of my tongue: http://www.engadget.com/2006/04/25/the-brain-port-neural-tongue-interface-of-the-future/ http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/05/0501_060501_tongue.html http://www.defensetech.org/archives/002368.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/...

Here's an idea: dump Windows, and run Ubuntu instead; it's a much better OS, and Oolite will probably run better on it (download the Linux version of Oolite).

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Thanks, guys! :D Wow, 1.70 is *way* better, by far the glassy-smoothest and most stable version I've tried. I've got like 140 OXPs loaded with no problems (other than Imperial Couriers spawning Ring 3 when they're killed or the occasional Cargo Cannister (System Vessel) being launched from a station...

Granted, granted.... Well, how about a nice well-rounded resource-lite basic oxp that includes most of the more common oxps for Joe Sixpack that won't slow his machine down? Let's see, now I start asking which oxps that list would include. Well, Murgh's X-Ships, Aegidian's Specials, a couple of Arex...

Done, and done. Oh, btw, in retrospect, it might've been a Nuclear Torpedo (or somesuch) that was a yellow dot. And, yes, I am familiar with ECM Hardened Missiles, having been the one to originally suggest them in the first place (pats own back); that was back in the days of 1.41, I reckon.

I have two passenger berths, and they're almost always both occupied. I've personally transported hundreds of passengers across the eight galaxies; it gives me an interesting excuse to visit some of the less trafficked backwater systems. So, if nobody else is doing it, maybe I should increase my far...

Alas, I can find neither -- Google returns no results for either. Pray tell, where can they be had? (And thank you for your courteous, prompt response, good captain.)
