Re: Typo in Deep Space Pirates 1.3

The Ooniverse is full of aliens; lobsters, rodents, frogs, insectoides, etc.
I'm surprised the universal translator does such a good job, as is.

Code: Select all

Captain Eric Walch thanks you for rescuing him and pays you 150 credits for smuggling him through Soorbian customs.
No probs, man.
All in a days work, for me.
Let's go to the stations' space bar and get some evil juice.

Re: Oolite Darwin Awards

More recent ones... #4. Drop off for some UPS documents in Alesqu system: Ship = Boa Class Cruiser Just our of witchspace. I'm carrying 24 passengers, and over 10 kilotons or precious metal contracts, from the Old Worlds, heading for the Tortuga Expanse. I'm on a real tight schedule, but there ain't...

Re: Oolite Darwin Awards

There's been a few, but here are the ones that are burnt into my memory.... #1: First learning how to play the game - Manual docking attempt: Ship = Cobra Mk. III "okay... Looks like I'm lined up pretty good... just a little more to the left... great, now then, slow down and try to get the ship...

Re: Random Hits OXP

This oxp is hilarious at times.
LittleBear had such cunning wit, when he was programming this (I assume it was him who did all the contract writing).
And should you fail a contract - careful. "Steel" yourself for an ego beating...

Re: Screenshots

ah - okay.
You're using a ball within a sphere concept, for the gyroscopic effect.
Very creative.
:)

Very nice dashboard and gauge layouts.

Smiv's spoke

Okay, will download and install.
Presently I'm on my way to Riedquat, on a contract hit, but barring anything else, should be able to double back after.
Thank you

Re: Devs who?

Oh man, Eric Walch, you're on that list.
I can't bother you anymore with my questions and stuff - you need your time to develop the game itself.

Re: New Player + Manifest (and many other) Question(s)

Uhmmm....

I think it is closer to the picture on the bottom left, Wildeblood.
Neolite Mussurana - I see some grill work on it.
I'll check to see if the "texture" picture is the same as the one in the Random Hits oxp.
Thanks for the research.

Re: BGS - The BackgroundSet

Neat. :) Gives a complete different feel to playing Oolite. #1. In the Galactic Chart screen: The computer voice tells me that advanced mapping is disabled. That's weird, I went and verified that my advanced navigational array was not broken - it's fine. I see some options on the right side (toggle ...

Re: New Player + Manifest (and many other) Question(s)

I think I found it. Oolite > AddOns > RandomHits1.4.13.oxp > Textures Well yes, that's the folder where all textures reside. But which one are you referring to? There are 70 individual textures in that folder, and no magic trick shows me which one you're looking at. Okay, okay. I was all proud that...

Re: Some sensible tweaks (planets, stars, galaxies, etc.)

One thing I noticed though, not often, but often enough, I will encounter police, a Moray boat, or even a Cobra Mk. III near the (now) sensible sun. Figuring it was now so far away, that there would be even less traffic around it. IIRC, traffic is only placed on the planet to sun route, not the the...

Re: The Feudal States

Hiya, Looks inticing, this oxp. I've been meaning to try it, but wanted more experience with combat before attempting it. I think I'm decent at fighting now, so will soon give it a whirl. Question: Feudal States Readme guide. Section 4: Promotions Knighthoods and Peerages "Peers are created by ...

Re: New Player + Manifest (and many other) Question(s)

Don't give up, on me, guys. :( I think I found it. Oolite > AddOns > RandomHits1.4.13.oxp > Textures But I can't be sure, because the texture picture is like all scrambled, maybe jumbled is a better word. But I see some grill (or rad work) that reminded me of what I saw, in the spinning picture disp...

Re: Screenshots

http://i973.photobucket.com/albums/ae214/Commander-El-Viejo/Tango.jpg That might be an interesting console (in the above picture) for me to try. Is that an oxp HUD, El Vejo, or did you make that just for your own personal use? I like the space compass (on the right side). Nice and big, easy to orie...
