Re: Boarding abandoned ships?

Here's an idea. How hard would it be to make it possible to tow a ship, with restrictions like a huge speed penalty and no torus drive or injectors while the tow-cable was attached? When -if- you made it to a station, a random reward system could kick in along the lines of what happens when you brin...

Re: Tales from the spacelanes...

Welcome to the madhouse, Blecha. And don't let that shady used spaceship dealer's routine fool you, the Cobbie 1's a sweet ship; like Disembodied said, they're not as fast as the Mk3 but a little more agile. You won't really miss the second hardpoint either: Someone must be giving ECM units away wit...

Re: Wolframalpha - is it worth it ?

I haven't owned a television since I was 19; I left it in my old bedroom when I went off to uni and as far as I know it's still there. I can just about remember when having 20 channels was a big thing (I think I was the first kid in my class at junior school to have cable), but now you can get anyth...

Cool idea, but I'll have to pass up on this one; I'll only end up bursting into tears every time one of them takes a laser hit.

Re: [RELEASE]MTDogfighters

Nice. Are you by any chance a fan of X-COM: Apocalypse? They've got a similar retro, "raygun gothic" sort of aesthetic. I would however suggest offering some more subdued colour schemes if and when that's implemented; that vivid shade of yellow is a bit of an acquired taste.

Automated Side/Rear Guns

By its very nature this is probably best suited to an OXP, and expensive to buy at that, but is it possible for guns mounted in whichever direction you're not currently looking to fire automatically when a ship flagged as hostile and/or a missile targeted at your ship enters the crosshairs?

It puts me in mind of the RNLI's headquarters at Poole, actually.

Re: Altercation survivors on Remlok

More information than we perhaps needed there... Anyway, a quick skim of that site also yields a couple of ejector seat models. Perhaps those could be scoopable as a separate item the way wreckage is? Anyway, I think it might be worth taking this a bit further than a mere re-texture of the existing ...

Re: For the raspberry

The other great reason for getting it going on a pi would be to create a case shaped like a cobra mk3 to put the pi in to - thereby creating a model of a ship that plays the game. That would be fairly easy to do, actually; we already have the 3D models, so it's just a case of modifying them to make...

I'm sorry. I really, really wish there was a tactful way to say this, because you've obviously put a lot of effort into the design...
