I've got the missiles & bombs folder oxp loaded in AddOns. Do I need to take the various sub folders out into AddOns to get then to work?
The advance space compass button '\' does not seem to work either. Does it work in v1.71.2?
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Re: What are the best oxp's
Hi All, How happy I was to find oolite :P Used to play it on the BBC, then elite plus on the PC - it's great to have this version to play now and then. Having esatablished myself in the ooniverse I think i'm ready to add some more content. Missions and ships I guess. Had a glance over the wiki. Wha...

With one of those at that price there's no excuse not to back up these days.TGHC wrote:Like nearly everything PC prices have dropped and memory has grown, my daughter has just bought one of these for £57.48 from Scan, it's very good too.
I remember when it was £1 per Mb for drives!

f you want to aim higher, you could arrange to buy out an existing main station, perhaps one in suitably low-tech anarchy or feudal system (why not make yourself lord of the manor?) That way you get to use the features that are only available in 'proper' space stations. It would be easy to alter th...

Cr 0.5 million and a ship worth Cr400k? I dream of those days  I like your ideas Hoopy. An idea I've just thought of is you could lend money (a bit like the black monks) to others so they can buy ships, equipment, cargo etc, charge interest and capital repayments then if they default hunt 'em d...

Get in close. Reeeaaallllyyy close!
I jumped into a democracy system only to immediately find 3 GalCop Vipers battling a Thargoid Carrier! Thinking "Ah well, lets have a go!" I joined the fray. The Carrier launched a Cruiser as soon as I attacked but I found that by sticking very very very close to the Carrier and orbiting i...

This morning I was looking at the prices of Hard Discs. Prices are nowadays very low. A 20GB ATA drive plus a USB adapter is going to cost less than €75. Peace of mind :D I'm currently using a maxtor 120GB USB back up drive that cost nearly £60 / €81. Back up takes no time at all first time and it ...

5 pirates? Try 8!
I was tootling along with some *ahem* "pharmaceuticals" in a democracy system when I was jumped by 3 pirates. "3, with my front mil laser? Easy!" I thought. I lined up and locked up for my initial pass & when I was 8 klicks out 5 more appeared on the edge of my scanner...
