We cannot "give" the player a ship. The player is his ship, the one that he has bought.
I meant offering a non-witchspace capable ship for 0 credits. This would allow a player to run around in the system to buy a new ship, if that was necessary

That's an interesting idea. I wonder if someone could craft a mission/station OXP that fits the bill. Would that work within the existing framework? I got into an Oolite kick over a year ago and had some fun with it. I probably took some liberties with how the universe "actually" runs and some of the naming, but it was fun to write none the less. Due to my newness on the forum, the link is not in BBCode. Replace each '*' with a '.'. s9...
