Re: ArcElite ships oxp
Would the prospective ArcElite HUD also come with a matching font and text colour scheme?

Re: [WiP]Ship's Cat OXP
I'd like to see one get in your face occasionally on-screen (kind of like the Trumbles) with a demanding/curious/affectionate "Mrrowrr.." Downloaded! Would be interesting to see a "Pet [ships-cat-name]" as a primable equipment. Even use the new b functionality to pet each of the...

Re: TAF in v1.77
[snip] I was thinking about something analogous to the Retro Rockets from 16bit Elite: one keypress gives you a sudden boost in your current direction of travel by manipulating player.ship.velocity (for instance multiplying it with, say, 25). The risk is that you lose part of your control over your...

Re: (RELEASE) Orisis Class (updated to 1.3)
I love seeing these huge ships in my ooniverse but have noticed the following in my load up log. I don't know if it is important or not. 12:26:29.951 [ship.missileLaunch.invalidPosition]: ***** ERROR: The missile_launch_position defines a position (0, 0, 0) behind the <ShipEntity 0x19bfb528>{"...

Re: [Release] GalNavy additions (was Adck's Behemoths Redux)
I'm still on v1.3 of the OXP, so it may have been fixed and not mentioned since then, but I noticed the Navy Transport's exhaust plumes don't quite start from the actual exhausts:

Re: ArcElite ships oxp
I've been flying with this shipset (and the additions) for a while now, and love the idea. When checking out the Tionisla shipyard though, I noticed that the Iguana has a cargo capacity of 750, like the Anaconda. Was this accidentally copy-pasted in? Also, unlike the Acorn Arcade specs and your norm...

Killer Wolf's domain seems to have expired: mirror request
So I'm currently in the process of adding OXPs to Oolite v1.77 on my fresh Debian "wheezy" installation, and while trying to fulfill the dependencies for [wiki]SothisTC[/wiki] I noticed that Killer Wolf's domain purgatori.net appears to have expired last month. I considered sending him a P...

Re: [RELEASE] Better Screens OXP
v1.2 is now available. Thanks to Svengali, this is now fully compatible with BGS. If you wish to use the Better Screens backgrounds with BGS you simply need to install Better Screens OXP and disable the 'backgroundscreens.plist' in BGS-A. More detailed instructions are in the Better Screens readme....

uname -a
told me I'm running 3.5.0-27-generic #46-Ubuntu SMP, so issues only affecting 3.8.x kernels ought to be unrelated (unless they were inherited from 3.5 and earlier, of course)- Sun Apr 28, 2013 9:38 pm

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
How does removing POVray planets work for you BuggyBY? I didn't notice any difference, the game still crashed with segfault or OpenGL errors in the console. Then I looked at the 3D acceleration options offered by DRIConf and found that I could specify settings on a per-application basis. I enabled ...

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
At the moment I have all eight packs installed. Does it make a difference? I thought textures were loaded on a per-system basis, as it would make little sense to unnecessarily cache planet textures for a place that would take several galactic jumps to reach.

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
I don't know if it's practical, and it'd certainly be a big hassle to reinstall everything, but if you switch to the 32-bit version of your Linux distro it might help. It won't be as efficient on the hardware as the 64-bit version would be, but it will use less RAM. I was told the same on the Linux...

Re: Graphics bug and occasional CTD using v1.77 on netbook
I just stumbled across this article from the Vega Strike Development Blog, detailing some of the difficulties in running a 3D space sim on Atom N5xx-based netbook hardware. My own netbook uses an Atom N570, and while VS is of course quite a different animal from Oolite, I can definitely detect some ...

Re: [UPDATE RELEASE] Smivs'Shipset v4.2.
Haven't installed the update yet, but I noticed in v4.1.4 that while I have an unobstructed rear view in my Boa 2 using Oolite v1.77, in trunk (build 5674) the protruding exhaust parts block the lower corners of the screen. Not sure if that sort of thing will be an issue in the next stable version, ...
