Re: Background Stars colour - bug?
I don't think the coloured stars look quite right and would be better if mainly white with a few coloured ones... but as you say snork, what does that matter? Not at all.

Re: The mote in my eye
Chaps, I've read thru the 'How to' on OXP's but it's not sinking in despite being well written... so... I doubt if I will ever produce an OXP but would like to contribute. A few years ago I messed around in Blitz Basic and came up with something that did dust motes that looked like 'smears'. I thoug...

Re: Background Stars colour - bug?
Quite so, having looked it up, stars do indeed emit coloured light. The human eye, however, is relatively insensitive to colour emanating from a point source. So, background stars should be white?

Re: Background Stars colour - bug?
I thought stars, regardless of type, emit white light?

Re: David Braben's Raspberry Pi PC gets ready to launch
The thought that I can run it all day every day for 32p per month flicks a switch (assuming a 700ma supply). The thought that I can (possibly!) again create executable code to run from the !bootstrap throws a few switches. Like with early microcomputers - how many times did we go to a shop and buy s...

Re: mind boggling
I did that Smivs... went round installing things like a machine for installing things... like an alcoholic in an off license. One OXP that changes the feel of the game dramatically without actually changing anything (gameplay wise) is BGS. Strangely it's one that I didn't load but saw running on a f...

Win 7 with Intel and Radeon chipsets
Recently I've played on a friends win7 system - a Samsung laptop with and Intel graphics chipset... Periodically Win7 reported that Oolite had stopped working and closed the task down. (As always that happens just after I've won a joust or something else to be proud of..) He also owns a desktop with...
