I too am having problems. Most of my oxp's don't work. The game crashes to desktop before it even starts. In the end I took out all oxp's and it worked. However I now see stars thru the planets and the planet textures still don't work for me. Wouldn't it be easier to have planet textures from pnp im...

I’m not sure about that particular set of bugs, but there have been a number of cases where Oolite doesn’t set up drawing state properly that have been fixed (or otherwise changed) for 1.69. Please report back on this issue once 1.69 is out. Once v1.69 is out I will install that and see what happen...

Planet textures
My PC is having problems showing up the new planet textures. I have version 1.68 and I pause the game, push T, then unpause the game. Upon hyperspacing to a new system the planets do look a little different but not like what I have seen on some screen shots. I am not sure what graphics card my lapto...

Yes I tested the 'bug' many times. I first found it was to do with the planetinfo.plist file by deleting it. The game then worked. So I reinstalled the file and deleted the lines that deal with the planet textures, and it still crashed. Then I took the station rotation line out and still it crashed....

Thanks guys. Thanks for the opx folder Uncle Reno i will try it out. Stainless Steel ... my graphics card shouldn't be the problem as I run much better and more demanding games on this laptop. Plus I would think Lave wouldn't have worked at the start of the game instead of only crashing when traveli...

Planet textures?
Where are they and how do I install them? I have seen a few screen shots that people have posted and they look great. I still have planets with a 'patch work' pattern on them. Also, is there a way to slow down the rotation of all planets? I know you can enter values in the planetinfo.plist file unde...

Game crashing when hyperspacing to Lave
Hi all. I have downloaded the new revamped version of Lave with all it's advert ships, ect..... When I start a new game and I am in Lave to start with, things are fine and Lave works well. However if I travel to another planet, then come back to Lave, the game crashes and the PC freezes. If I delete...

It does work, as I've used it in an OXP to light up a system where I'd scripted ships with very dark textures to appear (so the player could see em properly!). But depending on your monitor settings, you may not get a big effect with low values. I think it increases the light output of the backgrou...

I can confirm that ambient_level is read, and used as a multiplier for solar ambient light. So what exactly does that mean? I read in the tuturial on making and editing oxp's that the number used for ambient light has to be between 0.0 and 1.0. Any number over 1.0 would give a 'cartoon look' to pla...
