Re: Options other than amnesty for clearing offender status?
Using your Escape pod will clear your status (OXPs notwithstanding).

Re: Tionisla Reporter
I tried photos with the station and planet. Photos were either too far away or too close, or off-centre. Had to do it many times. I kind of worked out that the station distance was the threshold for too far and too close, so I blew it up. Then, I got "Nice shot" or something, when I took a...

Re: Tionisla Reporter
I tried this mission: found the planet successfully, but couldn't take a 'nice' photo. Well, not without blowing up the station.
Anyway, got back to Tionisla, and nothing happened.

Re: Can't get keyconfig.plist to work
One other thing - how do get from Game Options back to the game? I have to kill the game if I change the options mid-flight.

Re: Can't get keyconfig.plist to work
Ah: Fixed it: The AddOns folder has to be in the Application Support folder, not App level.

Can't get keyconfig.plist to work
Hello
It's been a while. I've just put Oolite on my newish MacBook Pro, and I can't get the BBC keyconfig.plist to be accepted. It's in AddOns/Config, with AddOns being in the same folder as the app.
That seems to be exactly the same as my previous installation. Am I doing something wrong?

Berlios closing down?
According to Slashdot
http://tech.slashdot.org/story/11/10/02 ... -years-end
the Berlios repository will close down at the end of the year. Will Oolite need a new home?

Re: NSInvalidArgumentException
Yes, you're right. The latest nightly does indeed fix the problem. Many thanks.Eric Walch wrote:You could download a nighty version of Oolite. There this particular bug is solved. If that does not fix the problem, you know that there are other bugs we like to know of.

NSInvalidArgumentException
When I launch Oolite 1.75, I get: Oolite failed to start up, because an unhandled exception occurred. An exception of type NSInvalidArgumentException occurred. If this problem persists, please file a bug report. I empty the AddOns folder, it works. I guess I've just got to work out what it was, now!...

Re: My other book...
Know that many people think your an Excellent writer. All YOU have to do is convince the ******s with money. There's an old joke in publishing: "if we wanted to make money, we would just sell paper." Bookshops take 50% of the retail price as their share. After subtracting costs from the o...

Compiling GLTron
Having just seen Tron Legacy at the cinema, I thought I try my hand at GLTron, a great implementation of the light cycles game that I used to play a few years ago on OS X 10.2. However, it's only available as a PPC build. I've banished Rosetta from my Macs. As the source code is available, I thought...

Re: Oolite on the Mac App Store....?
Just to comment on something in Ahruman's blog: I've always thought that crank handles on cars were very useful and convenient, and believe they should still be included! Getting back to the Mac Store: it does seem that it is generating a lot of negativity from "power users" and coders; th...

Oolite on the Mac App Store....?
Plenty of free apps on the Mac App Store. Any chance we'll see Oolite there, or are Apple's T&Cs too draconian for open source?
