Docked in a Rock Hermit that explodes!

I'd just like to share and enjoy the following great feature of Oolite. For personal reasons, I decided to attack a Behemoth, and then hide in a Rock Hermit when it came at me with its turretty-gun things. The Behemoth obviously attacked and destroyed the Rock Hermit, because I launched automaticall...

If you've got 2 ECM hardened missiles in the Purchase Equipment list, check your OXPs. Gile introduced them in an OXP called aegidian-special.oxp, but then made them standard in the game from a certain version onwards. If you've got the OXP and a recent version, that causes the missiles to appear tw...

There "definitely seems to be" some change in ship's legal status creation since about v1.58 or so. More ships than I would expect now have Offender/Fugitive status. I would have thought that ships escorting freighters would be street legal, unless they have done something once spawned, li...

Am I right in thinking that 1 keypress of the pitch controls gives an increment step? I often find that a ship can be in a position (particularly when far away) so that one keypress takes your crosshairs above it, and another keypress back takes your sight below it. I think there has been talk, in a...

Yeah, behemoths will stay neutral, which is why it's always good to get them involved!

On a slightly unrelated note, I have seen Vipers firing on other Vipers, who have, presumably, accidentally fired on their colleagues.

Behemoths tend to fly directly towards the planet in a straight line, though occasionally they go round and round in circles or perform the odd "Crazy Ivan". A good tip for landing is to fly behind them, overtake, get some distance ahead of them (4-5 Km) and then turn round and head in. Ot...

Would this be using: http://riters.com/OoliteManual/ ? I've also been thinking that Oolite needs a manual, and I'm going to put some stuff together for this site, as soon as I get the chance. I very much like the idea of keeping the manual as part of the Ooniverse, i.e. "press H on your Cobra's...

You need to have another option in the poll: No, don't use it much, but would like to use it more. As others have said, the cargo quantities have previously ruled out most ships. I shall look at it again in v 1.55. I think it's a great feature of the game, as they are essentially "mini-missions...

In my day, (BBC Elite) we didn't have fancy Navigation Beacons. It was recommended that you fly at the Station with the planet above you. Then pull up towards the planet when you're about to hit the station, stop, do a 180, and tap rotate in. By the way, two things: Firstly, you *can* dock with Afte...
