I may have an idea on what the problem is. The AI works by having the mine scan for the player and then awarding fuel to the found target, before then exploding harmlessly moments afterwards. This shouldn't be triggered by shooting down other ships - however: in its shipdata the fuel tank has the r...

I’m rather curious as to how, exactly, a mixed/updated install could possibly lead to such a bug. Me too, but i have seen so many odd things happening in other cases that has nothing todo with oolite.. That i am not surprised, if this is the case... I had this bug along with the Station Aegis Magic...

Re: Fuel Tank OXP
I have just installed the Fuel Tank OXP and noticed an undocumented feature: every time I kill a ship my fuel increases. Is this normal? Fuel management has always been a feature of Oolite and this is a bit of a spoiler. EDIT: This seems to happen only if you are close to the ship when it disassemb...

Thanks Shade. Unfortunately I've tried just about everything you suggest but the fuel feed remained erratic. The sad thing is that when I watch processes using KSysguard there does not appear to be anything else consuming significant resources. It's almost as if backuppc is running while I'm playin...

Re: Planet textures?
Where are they and how do I install them? I have seen a few screen shots that people have posted and they look great. I still have planets with a 'patch work' pattern on them. Also, is there a way to slow down the rotation of all planets? I know you can enter values in the planetinfo.plist file und...

That pic is from an old version of the game (Deepspace). That cockpit is no longer there. :) As you can see from the pic below. I did feel the same about those struts So I took them out and made the scanner a transparency too to maximise the viewable area. The Wolf359 game does have a lot of wasted...

Re: Deepspace
That looks great (Wolf 359). Like alot of people here I do think it takes up alot of the screen (far more than Deepspace). On the subject of Deepspace Cockpit. Its closer to the originals (Elite) screen display. If you look at old pics of Elite only the top half of the screen is visible. With Deeps...

Is there not, in fact a high Tech Level Anarchy out there? <shuffles through the Wiki> There's a lot of TL 8 and 9 Anarchies, some of them have to be Industrials and it's likely that they are able to produce ships. Why couldn't some money-hungry shipbuilder start production of a 'mobile baseship' f...

I would have found it very peculiar if some sort of organisation, would´nt have build a ship to carry out Strikes at very Well defended Targets however, The scope of the ship compared to the general Scope of other ships like the Behemoth and other large ships would however seem that this ship would ...

Once you have a million or two, you may consider changing it for something more agressive. 1 million or two, i upgraded to a boa class cruiser once i got the chance, doing milk runs in a python first... heck i even tried the asteroid, Which i found everything said about it was true... But 1 million...

Re: Possible solution to the missing shipyard problem
I think I might have figured out (sort of) what's been causing the problem where you can't access the shipyards. From what I can tell it's related to the Sabre ship that is part of the Dredger OXP when I removed shipyard.plist from the folder I didn't have any problems with the shipyards not showin...
