That sounds like a great idea! In addition to Dr. Nil's suggestions: -They should sell illegal goods (slaves, narcotics, firearms) very cheap. -Scooping up escape pods and bringing them here gives much higher profit than the insurance pays when you take them to galcop stations. -Pilots with clean le...

Tourist attractions
From time to time the Ooniverse feels very repetitive. I've been doing some passenger missions lately just to have a reason to fly around and not just stick to trading computers/furs between two optimally placed systems. In my opinion, and I suppose I am not the only one, little details would bring ...

EMP bomb
There has been a lot of debate about the energy bomb. To some, it's too powerful, others don't like that it destroys both hostile and friendly ships. Is it possible to do a non-lethal variant of the energy bomb, namely an EMP blast of some kind? It would temporarily disable all nearby ships, missile...

I can run the game with noise.dll in oolite.app directory, but there's definitely still something wrong. All text is weirdly messed up and unreadable. Here's a screenshot. I can post more details. Just tell me what do you need to know. Oh, and a little question about the mod: Is it possible to set a...

how about being able to fit a mega electro magnet to the fuel scoops? for a <whatever amount> of power draw while active, it would suck in any alloys (inc cargo canisters?) w/in say 2km of the ship, straight to your scoops. It should definitely be very expensive and use lots of energy when activate...

Besides preventing premature detonations, the delay would also make the bomb a bit harder to use. Right now it's really cheap weapon (except for the price :)) Five seconds is nice delay if you need to hold the key down, ten to fifteen if the trigger starts a countdown. All nearby ships would flee th...
