Re: Joysticks

The firmware of the 360 controller *might* need updating, but that’s all I can suggest at the moment without a controller to test with. There's no way to update/check the XBox 360 controller firmware without an XBox 360 - even the XBox Accessories App for Windows does not support this controller an...

Maybe he chopped his wires in half with that sword of his.... ?

With that hood over his beak he might well have problems seeing where he is going...
Ironically, I currently have an eye infection (off to hospital tomorrow)!

Re: Joysticks

When I direct connect my XBox One controller, it immediately shows up in Oolite as the current joystick. Does that not happen for you? Nope - the XBox 360 Controller shows up as HIDI2C inside Oolite and none of the buttons or axes are recognised. If I unplug the 360 controller and plug in my Extrem...

Re: Joysticks

It should be possible. I’ve got some XBox one controllers lying around so I might have a go at setting one of them up and report what I find. The process should be similar for an XBox 360 controller. Thank you. I was surprised it didn't so I figured I was just being a numpty. So if you do work out ...

XBox 360 Controller?

Apologies if this has been discussed before - I promise I did search the whole site for XBox first and then narrowed the search further... Is it possible to use an XBox 360 controller in Oolite? I went to Joystick mapping in-game and it doesn't recognise any of my stick waggles or button presses so ...

Re: 1pm 7th July 2024 - Oolite Anniversary Party (London)

Hi Guys, it's been a really long time since I posted here - the story is long and not for this thread - that aside, thanks to @selezen for the heads up - I've put it in my diary and I fully attend to be there (life notwithstanding). It will be amazing to catch up - haven't seen so many of you since ...

Re: Coyote's Run mission

All sorted, thanks Cool! Although the OXP follows the tale fairly well, this is Hollywood, and the screenplay does differ somewhat, here and there. Perhaps a kindly Mod could add a warning to the OP: if you use Griff's shipset, do not install the Coyote's Run for Griff OXP contained within the .zip...

Re: Fantastic Books Kickstarter

So how many other Ooliters are in on the new Kickstarter? I'm going to have to let Dan sort out my Veteran uplift - since I've pledged for boxed set of four hardbacks but already pledged for paperbacks of Drew's and Allen Stroud's books (and I have two versions of Fusion already (Kindle and a Smashw...

So how does the wife feel about that caterpillar on your lip, Drew? Will you be allowed to keep it when Movember is over?
No. ;) She hates it.

Cheers,

Drew.
Yup, that seems to be a common feature of our Mo Sistas... (my wife is struggling to look at me at the moment...)

My wife told me just a few minutes ago. We're losing a lot of great SF writers this year!
