Re: Coyote's Run mission

All sorted, thanks Cool! Although the OXP follows the tale fairly well, this is Hollywood, and the screenplay does differ somewhat, here and there. Perhaps a kindly Mod could add a warning to the OP: if you use Griff's shipset, do not install the Coyote's Run for Griff OXP contained within the .zip...

Re: Fantastic Books Kickstarter

So how many other Ooliters are in on the new Kickstarter? I'm going to have to let Dan sort out my Veteran uplift - since I've pledged for boxed set of four hardbacks but already pledged for paperbacks of Drew's and Allen Stroud's books (and I have two versions of Fusion already (Kindle and a Smashw...

So how does the wife feel about that caterpillar on your lip, Drew? Will you be allowed to keep it when Movember is over?
No. ;) She hates it.

Cheers,

Drew.
Yup, that seems to be a common feature of our Mo Sistas... (my wife is struggling to look at me at the moment...)

My wife told me just a few minutes ago. We're losing a lot of great SF writers this year!

Re: Another KickStarter - 8-bit oldtimers - Hewson Games

I played Paradroid, Uridium and AlleyKat* to completion and then when I got my Amiga I played Pinball Dreams a lot, really, really, a lot.

(Andrew Braybrook was my programming hero - what he managed to get the C64 to do was quite astonishing)

Another KickStarter - 8-bit oldtimers - Hewson Games

OK, I know we've got a lot of 8-bit old timers on the boards.

This KS has already reached its funding level - but I wouldn't want anybody to miss out!

Re: TAF in v1.77

I'm hoping that, eventually, that the in-system trip, along the space lane is so full of life and exciting (and necessary?) that it becomes an integral part of the game. I used to use TAF and deliberately stay in the lanes because I've never been able to justify the Jump Drive in a game which is no ...

Re: Kepler finds Earth-size planets commonplace

We always suspected that Earth-sized and composition type planets would be common place - given how "normal" our sun is - there will even be lots of Earth sized planets in those suns Goldilocks zones, the real trick for a planet with a molten iron core (good for generating useful magnetic ...
