Re: Cloaking Device Problem
As I wrote earlier, I can live with the new behaviour. What is more "amusing" is this type of scenario: (I've just played it) There's a Boa and about 5-7 fighter escorts. Destroy it from about 15Km distance and cloak for a couple of seconds. The escorts turn yellow again on the radar and h...

Re: Cloaking Device Problem
OK, I can live with that. It would be interesting to know the reasoning that went into this change. Firing while cloaked wasn't that good an idea as energy bank depletion would generally put you at risk - you've annoyed somebody and you're uncloaked and vulnerable 'cos you're low on energy so you'd ...

Cloaking Device Problem
At some point I picked up a cloaking device - didn't realise I was fighting thst mission. I only found it today when cycling through my primable equipment. However Unlike in the past, if I am cloaked and fire my lasers, I become uncloaked. Is this a new standard behaviour for the device or do I have...

TCAT in v1.80
Lovely mission, but there are some points that may need sorting out. 1. After I grabbed my 8th sneak I was told that we now had enough info. However my ship suffered a catastrophic failure during a Random Hits assasination before I saved. I got the "enough data" again after my 10th sneak. ...

Re: Docking Problems
The best answer I can think of is "Right On Commander".
Essentially the problem is that it was OK, then somebody fixed it

Re: Docking Problems
While I had had a few explosive dockings with a Cobra and an Arafura the problem "exploded" when I re-equipped myself with my favourite Imperial Courier. Novice I'm not. I've been playing Oolite since 2006 and had amassed ridiculous numbers of kills and credits. After an absence of almost ...

Docking Problems
I have discussed this in the General Forum but think it should be considered a bug. In earlier versions, if you were a little sloppy while docking, you bumped and scraped your way in. In 1.80, either I dock perfectly or my ship is destroyed. Moreover I get the impression that some of the docking por...

Re: Date Bug
OK, I tried a quick experiment. Not at Laribebi so there was less stuff I could buy. It took me 5 days to equip the ship.
So I learned something new today!
There is an old Maltese saying: "This is why the old hag does not want to die. The older you get, the more you learn".

Re: Date Bug
I did not realise that maintenance and equipping take time. I'll try to experiment with this.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Date Bug
Today, for the third time since installing v1.80, Oolite advanced the date by several days. This rather messes up cargo and passenger delivery schedules. Today it seemed to me that it added 10 days to the date when the jump should have taken 10 hrs. Unfortunately I only noticed after a series...

Re: Scrapes while docking
, but there may be a need to look at it more generally. I'll say! My old Imperial Courier had scrapes and dents galore, when I played the older versions (I've been playing six years or more, on and off). The Arafura is pristine, never having been scraped. Blown up and reload saved game, yes, far to...

Re: Scrapes while docking
So, question.
Is this deliberate or a bug where a small scrape ir treated as a big impact? I would have thought that, as in the past, there would be a scale from scratch to BOOM!

Scrapes while docking
In Oolite before v1.80, if my docking was a bit off, I got bumps and scrapes. Now my ship blows up - at least I think because it's a scrape. Is this a feature? It is causing me to avoid Con stores and Rock Hermits unless I have saved at a station very recently. It's not like I'm wildly off course. A...
