No, more likely 148mm than 150mm. Specifically, A5 size.

Re: Sizes and scale in Oolite (again)
In a Coriolis station I'd consider at most the outer surface, away from the axis of rotation to be habitable - in respect to gravitation. Plus you need life support, vast amounts of cargo and docking space, machines and spare parts. So maybe the outer surface is sufficient - still the population wo...

Re: Sizes and scale in Oolite (again)
Thinking again, the stations are too small to host it all. Come again? Too small? You seem to under-estimate how much can occur on a square kilometre of real estate. Let me re-iterate: that is standing room for a million people. Where I live, the dear leaders assure us we can live comfortably with ...

Re: Sizes and scale in Oolite (again)
Does anybody have any idea as to how many people one would expect to find on a Coriolis station ? 1km x 1km x 1km... The maximum safe packing density for humans is one per square metre. At 4 per square metre (i.e. each person occupying a 50cm x 50cm box), crush injuries and deaths from stampedes be...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (probably)
Can one increase the turbulence on Zaatxe below (say) 4km - and possibly even add "sand" to the effects? I know you meant to write 4km, because that's where the red zone on the altimeter starts. And, my guess is the substantive answer is: yes, but it would be javascripted, not just tweaki...

I also think Josh suffered from perfectionism, leading him to write then scrap and rewrite then scrape multiple versions of the codebase over time. Don't confuse indecisiveness for perfectionism. What he suffered from - apart from the obvious mental issues - was something fairly common: an inabilit...

Re: July 2024 - Oolite Anniversary Party
there are a whole group of you on that side of our planet. The last time I drove from Sydney to Brisbane the road sign said 999 km. (And that would be the easy bit. ) I thought you were pretty much all in Sydney, with just one or two outliers. Nah, Dizzy is a Queenslander. IIRC, that sign...

Nice. Feel free to donate that to the Explorers' Club ship set... Wildeblood... what was the Explorers' Club ship set supposed to be? I can tell you what it wasn't: something for you to add to your lists of "lost" or unfinished OXPs, since it never existed. Having said that, I knew exactl...

A completely different, yet closely related, question. It cannot go on without some screen backgrounds being included in the download. Not a whole collection, but that start-up screen being plain black is cringe-inducing. Here's what I use: https://wiki.alioth.net/img_auth.php/3/36/Alien_landscape.p...
