Nah, Dizzy is a Queenslander.
Was..

For the past 12 years, I've been a Victorian. Mostly Melbourne. And for the last four years, in central Victoria.
Who the hell moves from Queensland to Victoria. Anyway, you don't counter-balance the millions who've moved in the other direction.

Re: Docked HUDs OXP

you caveman person of cavity. Troglodyte perhaps? :P Nah-uh. Person of cavity. I've been an enthusiastic user of the "person of x " form ever since the day a former leader of the opposition (Bill Shorten from memory) took it to extreme as he, fearing the "othering" of disabled t...

Re: Docked HUDs OXP

Why would you want the kettle temp displayed??! It’s either off, in process of boiling, or at 100oC..! I've written about this before, but I'll re-iterate because I'm passionate about this subject. If your kettle only does off or 100C, you need to drag yourself into the 21st century; it's [the curr...

Re: This one, Cholmondely.

But, vis-a-vis your comment on the MFDs above, I usually have 12. You will not be receiving a Christmas card. If you are motivated to "fix" Docked HUDs, go into each of the HUD files (if memory serves me correctly ( ) there are four, up from three in prior versions), and add four m...

Re: So I got thinking about Freelancer, Freespace 2 etc...

Now this has probably been thought of before, would entail a whole shed load of work (possible understatement there), that I personally have no clue how to go about, and definitely flies in the face of Oolites 'go anywhere , do anything' freedom, but hear me out.... imagine an Oolite that opens up ...

Re: Science Fiction Trivia

Have another one - in 2010 Odyssey 2 (novel by Arthur C. Clarke 1982, filmed 1984) alien monoliths in Jupiter's atmosphere start to multiply, apparently by converting atmospheric gases into solid monolith material, forming an expanding black spot which eventually implodes as a short-lived black hol...

This thread... Perhaps it needs re-labelling?
Or, you could have just left it in 2013.

Re: Brexit vote, the zombie apocalypse and other fallout.

At least you guys now have your NHS fully funded again! A particularly pernicious aspect of the Labour party is its international nature. Once an idea has proven to be unworkable, unsustainable, or to cause more harm than good, they export it all over the empire to cause as much harm, chaos and suf...

Re: Question

Indeed, that link is expired. How can we get a durable one? First, build one time machine. Second, consult the W3C archives to read early predictions of the link-rot phenomenon and suggestions of better alternatives to the URL. Thirdly, having determined the best moment to intervene in history, tra...

Adding an else in here will supposedly save a millisecond or two. this.guiScreenWillChange = function(to,from) { // log(this.name,"guiScreenWillChange: "+from+" --> "+to+" ;"); if (to == "GUI_SCREEN_EQUIP_SHIP" ) { this.$updateColors(); } else if (( to == &quo...

Re: I just invented the SWEAGLE, the raptor-billed swan-eagle

Is this 'Sweagle' and Oolite ship? <Confused>. No, it's a test post to check whether one can upload attachments here (yes), whether one can upload attachments to the support forum (no), and what happens to attachments if a topic is moved between forums. Sorry for any confusion. Also, quolls are cute.

Here is first version for testing http://cobra-mk3.gilhad.cz/Games/oolite/OXP/oolite.oxp.Gilhad.G_EquipmentExpensiveItemColor.oxz :D That link does not work. There is still one problem, as I used the event guiScreenChanged for F3, the page is already drawn, when my code start working, so color chan...

Re: Equipment “Sell Item” Color

I do not know, where hook code to recalculate at each entering the F3 screen :( It looks like that should be possible, and I think it's a good idea. These three paragraphs should be "all you need to know" (enough to get you started) about Oolite-specific javaScript:- World script event ha...

Re: Scripters cove

Could it be that a dictionary internally ends up to be a hashmap and therefore the sequence is not predictable? Could we change this to some container that preserves a sequence? As soon as it does, sorting can be applied... I think you're barking up a dead tree, hiran. If world scripts were sorted ...
