Re: Objective oriented?
Great! Thanks for all the answers, this really is a friendly board. I've had quite a long look at the OXP ships in the Wiki. However, I'm quite picky. How hard is it to make your own ship? I'm looking for something in the size class and cargo capacity of the Python, but much much faster. Is there a ...

Re: Picking up escape pods
While true, half the escape capsule you collect will have an insurance payout of 250 -500 Cr, far more than the max 40Cr you'll make on the computers. Really? I must be one of the most unlucky fellows in space then :( I usually only get about 15-30Cr from bounties, hardly ever insurance payouts and...

Re: Feature requests for Oolite 2.0
Could we have different switchable HUD modes?
For example:
1. General - like it is now
2. Combat - Stars and planets dimmed out
3. Navigation - Highlighting asteroids and stations

Re: Picking up escape pods
All questions have pretty much been answered already, but I'd like to add that if you are hauling expensive cargo (for example computers or luxuries) with a full bay (small craft fill up easily), it might be better to just ignore the capsule, as bounties can often be a lot less than the worth of the...

Re: Ship names and origins
My Cobra mk.3's name is Profitable Justice . I intend to do good in the galaxy during my voyages, but since I'm saving money to buy myself a nicer craft, I wouldn't screw myself over financially just to save some doomed rookie trader from a 10-ship pirate fleet. An 8-ship pirate fleet, on the other ...

Objective oriented?
Hi everyone, I'm new around here. Thanks to all the contributors for making Oolite happen, I've enjoyed it tremendously so far. I'd like to know more about a few things, however: 1. I can't find any of these missions people keep talking about, such as grappling the fabled Constrictor or spoiling som...

Re: Tales from the spacelanes...
The days of piloting my brand new and neatly polished Cobra 3, not yet even named at that time, out of Lave station's funnel seem to be so far in the past as I once again lock the witchdrive of Profitable Justice to my next destination. That is my way of life, to be always on the move to a new secti...
