Wow! I really like this version of the Anaconda. By moving the boosters to where you have put them, really makes the ship look much more massive.

yeah, that's what everyone else says - did you notice it was the DW Cobra I created for Oolite? I'm going to re-do that picture with a bigger Cobra, in high resolution. After I've finished the sketch I'm working on today that tis. (which I'm calling 'The planet is ravaged by frequent civil wars' - a...

Oolite is popular on the Frontier forums. It's a brilliant tribute to Elite so why shouldn't it be popular. And whilst we're plugging the frontier forum (which I know we're not but it leads me nicely to pluggin myself :))...I've been doing a few sketches based on Frontier and Elite which I've upload...

i'm not sure which 3D modelling package you're using but most of them allow you to 'flip normals'. That effectively turns the chosen polygon inside out. So if you were facing the polygon you'd see right through it (to the character inside). If you were facing side on then you'd see through the first...

I like the rank icons exactly as they are, personally I wouldn't change a thing there.
As for the main logo, soooo many choices (which is brill), but I think my personal favs are,

3rd Fav: E.11
2nd: E.15

and best E.16 for me

the attention to detail is really nice on this one. I wonder if making it a little shinier would make it look as expensive as they were always supposed to be?? I think it was mentioned before, but making the grooves less pronounced as well.

Great work on the logo, it's looking really nice, but, this might sound over the top, but I think the text needs to move down by 1 pixel.

EDIT: I've just noticed the one with OOLITE written in the middle and that location is just right. Only the ones with the member names need to come down.

"Oolite (Object Oriented Elite) is as addictive and compelling today as Elite was in 1984."

Personally I think the xbox is a great machine but that's by the by. I think community games on the xbox come with a price tag, which would stick oolite in the commercial gains category which would mean someone was making a profit which would mean David Braben (quite within his rights) would shut it...

The Galactic Navy are developing their own deep- space RemCraft, and pay a large bounty for any thargon craft that are brought to them. I've noticed in Oolite that you don't get much for Alien Items (about 40-50c) and you get a lot more for shooting them. I think scooping them should give you more ...
