You buy on the F3F3 screen when docked - and the selection of ships for sale varies (i) with the system and (ii) with each visit to that system.

So I do the same. Lave -> Zaonce -> Isinor <->Tionisla (with detours to Qutiri once I have partially equipped my Cobra - the profit margin is usually bigger there than in Isinor). I’ll turn it off by default for the next release. Just musing about all this. The bounties are given by GalCop police (presumably) for clobbering the pernicious pirates (and possibly also the Thargoids. Really? For Thargoids ? Not by the Galactic Navy if loaded, or the Galactic Co-operative itself?...

I just run around Industrial and Agricultural planets, mostly between Tionsla and Isinor, for trading [and safety, a pulse laser and ECM is the only thing I have], don't know if it actually makes me money. maybe run around Bemaera to kill idiot pirates with no ECM system.
